Michael is First Church’s Director of Music. He graduated from Baylor University with undergraduate and graduate degrees in organ performance. At Baylor he also served as accompanist for several groups. After graduation he became the Principal Organist at First United Methodist Church of Houston, accompanying the nationally broadcast services and live weekly telecast. He also was in concert with their Sanctuary Choir which included touring with them in the British Isles. Michael has performed on the Artists Concert Series of Sarasota, with the Powder River Symphony in Wyoming, the State College of Florida Symphony, and the Sarasota Pops Orchestra. His past church appointments have been in Atlanta (Peachtree UMC) and Sarasota (Church of the Redeemer and Faith Lutheran). |
