Saxophonist/flutist/clarinetist Peter BarenBregge was music director and principle jazz soloist for the Washington DC-based Air Force band “Airmen of Note” for 20 years. He is a true virtuoso and has performed for audiences around the world. He is now retired and lives in the local area where he is in high demand, both as a performer and band leader. He returns to our series this year as an audience favorite.

Steve Martinucci has been playing guitar since he was 12 years old. He began studying Jazz Guitar in 1993, when he attended the Audio and Jazz Program at Five Towns College in New York on a full academic and performance scholarship. In 2000, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from William Paterson University with a bachelor’s degree in Jazz. He also graduated Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
Steve has studied with many musicians including Joe Monk, Gene Bertoncini, Vic Juris, and Jack Wilkins. He has also performed with Jon Faddis, Harold Mabern, Steve LaSpina, Rufus Reid, James Moody, Dennis Mackrel, Bobby Sanabria, Chico Mendoza, Randy Weston, Dick Hyman, Todd Coolman, and many others.
Steve has been a crowd favorite for many years at the Jazz at First Church concert series and returns again this year for another swinging performance.
